I needed this for a short period of time as a result of a medical procedure. We had 2 Hans Grohe sliding hand showers in our last home providing familiarity with high quality units. This was intended to be used for a couple of weeks and discarded. Cheap (we paid $23) was the criteria. What a pleasant surprise. Comes boxed like a Apple product. Excellent plastic molding quality, tight seams, no flash, good coatings and buttons. Certainly not made with the best of materials but very good design and build quality. After a week of use I can say, no leaks, everything works very well, it’s attaches in a solid manner and it provides an excellent stream of water. A restrictor is included for areas with unusually high water pressure (not installed). For the money, it a steal. At this point, we intend to keep it installed. I note there are reports of broken threaded fittings. As per the Amazon page, the included instructions and general plumbing practice, do not use Teflon tape or plumbing goop on female plastic fittings. Remove/clean up what may already be in your threads before installation. Leaving crud in the threads will simply expand and split the fitting.Installs really fast and easy. No leaks, even with just tightening by hand. Do not put in the water saver / flow regulator if you want a good flow coming out of it. Not intending this unit for long term use, just need a handheld unit to help my wife bathe since she has difficulty after her stroke. The handheld shower head works great for this purpose. The longer cable on this allows for better reach when she is seated. Can't speak to the durability since we have been using it for a monthOrdered the Oil-Rubbed bronze, looks really nice. Have used it going on three weeks and, so far, is working fine. Didn't buy it necessarily for the settings, although they are very easy to change. Did buy it for the on/off switch and absolutely love it. Very easy to use and can also control water volume by how far it is pushed. Love that I don't have to go through each setting to get to the off setting as I had to with my other showerhead. Also like the flexible hose better than the stiff one I had.Works well. The power saving rubber flip switch is too easy to accidentally engage. Just have to be careful. I had hoped to use the power stream mode for blasting cleaning tub but it isn’t strong enough. Works well for regular showering massage.I purchased this because I wanted to be able to soften the water flow and easily shut it off without changing the water temperature of the shower. I am caring for my mom who is living with dementia and showers are increasingly difficult and scary. This has done exactly what I wanted it to do.As a few others have said, being skeptical at first is normal, using it and trying out the different settings is quite nice.Took all of maybe 10 minutes to install it, really love the pressure and the settings are nice.Great value for the money, may get one for other bathroom.Like the different patterns and the long hose is nice to have, reaches all the way across the tubLooks great!
